Belgian Pavilion

From Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 September, the Belgian Offshore Cluster represented the Belgian offshore wind sector with a Belgian pavilion at WindEnergy Hamburg.WindEnergy Hamburg 2016 has established itself as the world’s leading expo for wind energy. This biennial expo united 1.400 exhibitors from 34 nations presenting their products and services in 9 exhibition halls. 35,000 trade visitors came to Hamburg for the event, from a total of 48 nations.

Belgian Offshore Cluster has over 35 members. 21 of them joined forces at the Belgian Pavilion of 400 square meter. The participants are a mix of major international players, SMEs as well as research institutes.

"Organizing ourselves this way, is contributing to enhance our profile in other countries. Working together has a lot of advantages. Each company has its specific know-how and discipline. Entrepreneurs exchange business contacts to one another and recommend each other. This creates a positive business climate." explains BOC chairman Christophe Dhaene.

Voka organized a group visit to the fair and showed up with 10 entrepreneurs to view the recent development in the offshore wind industry. The visit ended at the Belgian pavilion, where the Belgian Beer Night attracted more than 200 visitors.
